At South Cairns Gymnastics & GymSports FNQ, we’re proud to offer a range of gymnastics programs designed to support every child’s development from their first experience in the gym right through to competitive levels.

GYMSTART IS WHERE IT ALL BEGINS……

GymStart is where children can begin their gymnastics journey for the very first time!
GymStart focuses on building essential skills such as coordination, flexibility, strength, and body awareness in a fun and inclusive setting.

GymStart Bronze: Trial classes for Girls & Boys Prep – Grade 2

  • Mixed gender classes focusing on developing movement and basic gymnastics shapes and supported skills.
  • Each term, gymnasts are assessed by their coach to determine if they’re ready to move to the next level; GymStart Silver
  • 2 Trial classes for $30
  • Cost: $230 per 10 week term (1 class per week)
  • 2026 Membership fee: $121

GymStart Silver: Trial classes for Girls & Boys in Grade 3-6 

  • Mixed gender classes focusing on developing foundations and basic gymnastics skills.
  • This class includes gymnasts that have successfully passed GymStart Bronze
  • Each term, gymnasts are assessed by their coach to determine if they’re ready to move to the next level; Foundations Gold
  • 2 Trial classes for $30
  • Cost: $230 per 10 week term (1 class per week)
  • 2026 Membership fee: $121
  • Days and Times are available below

Trial Classes:

  • We offer 2 trial classes for $30.
  • To begin your child’s journey please complete the form below
  • Payments accepted via Apple Square, Cash, Bank Transfer or through PayPal using the PAY NOW button on our website
  • Please note that your child will not be placed into their trial class until the $30 has been received.

 

WHAT’S NEXT…….. FOUNDATIONS STREAM

Once gymnasts successfully complete Foundations Silver, they will be invited to progress into Foundations Gold (ALP 1). ALP stands for the Australian Levels Program. 

Foundations Gold (ALP 1):

  • Introduces strength, flexibility, and foundational routines, with optional opportunities to participate in local competitions.
  • Each Semester, gymnasts are assessed by their coach to determine if they’re ready to move to the next level; Foundations Pre-2

Foundations Pre-2, Foundations 2 & Foundations Pre-3:

  • Builds upon the ALP framework, developing confidence, skill execution, and readiness for our Junior Stream squad-style training.
  • Each Semester, gymnasts are assessed by their coach to determine if they’re ready to move to the next level.

 Once gymnasts complete Foundations Pre-3, they are invited to progress into our Juniors Stream.
