WAG & MAG Triple S Clinic – 7-8th February

On the weekend, we were excited to host and to attend the FNQ Triple S Clinic for WAG & MAG Senior gymnasts, as well as MAG Junior gymnasts and coaches. A huge thank you to Gymnastics Queensland for providing such passionate presenters and continuing to provide education, development and support in our region. Opportunities like this are invaluable for our coaches and gymnasts. We also appreciate all the families and clubs who attended and helped make the weekend such a success!

Our fun activities will help develop their balance and their strength, visually track objects and encourage independent mobility (crawling & walking).

Congratulations Alysha!
Our Head Coach Alysha attended the FIG Level 1 WAG Course at the AIS in Canberra. A huge step in her high performance coaching journey and an exciting investment in the future of our WAG athletes. It was an intense week of learning and study, followed by the final assessment examination on Friday. We are incredibly proud to share that Alysha not only passed, but was also awarded a medal for the 3rd highest score in her group
Congratulations to our newest WAG Advanced Judge, Ainsley! Ainsley travelled to Brisbane to attend the 2-day course during Gymnastics Queensland Education Week. This is a huge achievement for Ainsley and a fantastic asset to our club. It’s been a great start to the year for our staff as they continue to further their education, strengthening the support and knowledge we bring to our athletes

A huge congratulations to Dakota and Chloe on successfully completing their Fundamental Coaching Course! This is an exciting step in their coaching journey and a fantastic achievement. We are so proud of their commitment to learning and growing as coaches. Both Dakota and Chloe are retired South Cairns Gymnastics gymnasts, and we are very thankful that our athletes have such passionate and dedicated role models on the floor to teach, guide and inspire them.
